Transfer of Registration Records for Philippine Overseas Voters in Sydney to start on 04 October 2005

The Philippine Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has informed that Filipino Overseas Absentee Voters, including dual citizens, who have previously registered with the Philippine Consulate for the 2004 National Elections and intend to transfer residence to another state, another country, or to the Philippines will need to file for a Transfer of Registration Record in order to qualify to vote during the 2007 election period.

When you have transferred to another Australian state outside of New South Wales

Submit a Letter-Request for Transfer of Registration Record (OAVF No.1B) to the Philippine
Embassy in Canberra or when in the Philippines, through COMELEC- Committee on
Overseas Absentee Voting (COAV) from October 4, 2005 to August 31, 2006.

When you have transferred to another country outside of Australia

Submit a Letter-Request for Transfer of Registration Record (OAVF No.1B) to the nearest
Philippine Embassy or Consulate in the country where you currently reside from October
1,2005 to August 31,2006.

When you intend to return to your old Philippine address

Submit a Letter-Request for Transfer of Registration Record (OAVF No. 1B) directly to the
COMELEC- Commission on Overseas Absentee Voting (COAV) until September 30, 2006.

Once you receive a letter from COAV approving your registration record, proceed to the office of the Election Officer (EO) where you are residing, submit the Local Application for Transfer (CEF1B) and submit to biometrics capture.

When you intend to return to a new Philippine address

Submit a Letter-Request for Transfer of Registration Record (OAVF No.1B) directly to the
COMELEC- Commission on Overseas Absentee Voting (COAV) from 04 October 2005 until August 31, 2006.

Once you receive a letter from COAV approving your registration record, proceed to the office of the Election Officer (EO) where you are residing, submit the Local Application for Transfer (CEF1B) and submit to biometrics capture.
